Review: "A Hero for Miss Hatherleigh" by Carolyn Miller

It's hard to believe I read my first Carolyn Miller novel only two years ago—she's so quickly become a go-to for regency fiction that it feels like I've been reading her forever! A Hero for Miss Hatherleigh is the first book in her third series, which connects to her others.

Review: "Justice Mission" by Lynette Eason

I don't read a lot of Love Inspired books, but I do love Lynette Eason's romantic suspense, so when a review request for Justice Mission came, I decided to give it a shot. It was a good choice 🙂.

First Line Fridays: "Sweet on You"

Happy Friday, friends! This week has been A WEEK, you know what I mean? But it's been nothing compared to what many of my fellow Nebraskans are dealing with. Last week, we saw historic flooding that has devastated many towns; destroyed countless bridges, roads, and property; caused the loss of many livestock; and has led to the deaths of at least three people, maybe more.

I'm safe. My family is safe. We've had zero damage in my town, but towns nearby have been completely flooded and in some cases totally cut off from everything. Here's a look at some of the flooding—really just the tip of the iceberg. (That first photo? I drove over that bridge a week ago Wednesday. It was out by Thursday morning.) The devastation is astronomical, and the cleanup and rebuilding process will take a long time. So when you think of Nebraska, would you pray for all the people impacted? Though the flood waters are receding, the heartache they've caused will last much longer.

Review: "Glory Road" by Lauren K. Denton

Though I most often gravitate toward romance, I do love a good family story now and again, especially one that deals with several generations of women. Glory Road is one such story.

Review: "Knox" by Susan May Warren

Nobody writes inter-connected series like Susan May Warren, and she's back with her new Montana Marshalls series! I can't wait to read all of them!

Review: "Within These Lines" by Stephanie Morrill

Over the last month or so, I've been seeing so much buzz about Within These Lines. The book intrigued me when I first heard about it, but then when the glowing reviews (and gorgeous pictures) started hitting Instagram, I couldn't wait to read it!

Review: "Mending Fences" by Suzanne Woods Fisher

I am absolutely NOT a fan of Amish fiction ... except when it comes to Suzanne Woods Fisher's books! There's just something about her Stoney Ridge books that draws me in, and I want to read each and every one of them!

Review: "Ladies of Intrigue" by Michelle Griep

Michelle Griep has become one of my go-to authors of historical fiction, so it's pretty much an automatic "yes, please!" whenever I have a chance to review one of her books. So I'll admit that I signed up for this tour without realizing that Ladies of Intrigue is actually a book of three novellas. But that was fine by me—I love a good novella now and again!

Review: "Low Country Hero" by Lee Tobin McClain

While I have a couple of Lee Tobin McClain's books on my Kindle (thank you, Kindle freebies!), I hadn't read any of her books before picking up Low Country Hero. Now I'm ready to read more!

Review: "The Secrets of Paper and Ink" by Lindsay Harrel

First of all, can we talk about how gorgeous this cover is? It drew me in the first moment I saw it. Happily, the words inside are just as beautiful as that cover 😊.

Review: "Between Two Shores" by Jocelyn Green

I am a reader who always wants her books to have a happy ending. Almost every book I read has at least an element of romance ... and one thing every good romance novel has is a happy ending! Between Two Shores does have a happy ending, but not in the way I anticipated.
