are you reading?
I've long been curious about how many people read my blog. I know my regular readers, but how many people stumble across my blog? In hopes of answering that question, I've decided to add a stat counter at the bottom of the page. I know this may end up being depressing--maybe my regular readers are my only readers--but I thought I'd give it a try. As of this writing, 10 minutes after adding the stat counter, I have exactly one hit . . . and it's me. By this time tomorrow, I should have at least five or six hits, right? I know my mom will check to see if I've posted anything new . . .
Well, Bec, I subscribe to your blog's feed via Bloglines, so I don't usually actually visit your page, even though I read every post. So, that will skew your stats slightly, I believe. Did you know that you can also connect your facebook notes to your blog feed? It's kind of a nice added feature! :)
ReplyDeleteI was just going to say the same thing. I read all your posts through my Google Reader.. so it won't show up on your stats.
ReplyDeleteI will stand and be counted, please!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I didn't think about the whole blog reader thing. I should have, since I get all the blogs I read through Google Reader!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous--You will stand and be counted anonymously . . . I love it!
As expected, here is Mom -- checking to see if you've posted anything!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky, just wanted to let you know that I'm reading you from here. I'm greatly enjoying your blog.
ReplyDeleteI randomly found your page. I like seeing what you are reading, and your book reviews.
ReplyDeleteI am getting bored with some of the "christian fiction" that I read. I love all books by Karen Kingsbury. I also loved Randy Alcorn's, The Ishbane Conspiracy, & Safely Home. But I appreciate other new recommendations. Thanks.
Cari~
ReplyDeleteNice to know you're out there! Safely Home is one of the best books I've ever read. Hmmm, that's a thought for a new post--my favorite books! Karen Kingsbury is without question my favorite author; some others I really enjoy are Susan May Warren, Ted Dekker, and Mindy Starns Clark.
I'm reading! Sometimes I just get behind... I subscribe too with Google Reader, but when I comment, it takes me to your blog, which is then counted! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the book recommendations. I just finished the first book by Susan May Warren "Happily Ever After". It was good, although somewhat obvious plot. But I guess everyone can't be a Karen Kingsbury.
ReplyDeleteNext I am reading Ted Dekker.
Btw- I just heard the song Karen Kingsbury co-wrote "Walls" by Richie McDonald. It's pretty good.
