It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (11-28-16)

Mondays after holiday weekends are the absolute worst, right? I actually accomplished a lot at work today, but the minutes seemed to tick by sooooooo slowly.

I should probably title today's post "What are you watching?" instead of "reading" ... I read very little last week, but I watched a ton of movies. I did other things like decorating my house for Christmas and catching up on some blogging while I watched, but still.

Here's a rundown of what I watched (that I can remember!): Anne of Green Gables (new PBS version. Blech.), Anne of Green Gables (Megan Follows version. Sublime.), Anne of Avonlea (Anne & Gil. Swoon!), Broadcasting Christmas (because I will always watch Dean Cain. Not much chemistry between him and Melissa Joan Hart, but the movie was fun.), A Heavenly Christmas (Hallmark Hall of Fame), Just Like Heaven (because A Heavenly Christmas had a similar—though decidedly less comedic—concept), Journey Back to Christmas (so good. Probably my favorite of Hallmark's new movies so far this season.), and Christmas List (adorable). As the credits on Christmas List rolled, I burst into spontaneous applause ... and this is what my cats thought about that:

They were not amused that my clapping roused them from their sleep!

What I read last week:

Finding Margo by Jen Turano. I was very intrigued by the plot of this novel, though I did struggle with the writing style a bit. But I'm definitely interested enough to go back for the sequel. (3-1/2 stars)

One Enchanted Eve by Melissa Tagg. I flew through this novella on Friday ... during the Nebraska-Iowa trainwreck of a football game. At least this brought a bright spot to my Friday! (review and rating to come)

What I'm reading now:

Kissing Father Christmas by Robin Jones Gunn. I'm only a few chapters in, but I'm really liking this book so far.

What I'll read next:

A Royal Christmas Wedding by Rachel Hauck. We'll see if it actually happens this week :-)

What books are you reading right now? What are you watching right now? Any favorite Hallmark Christmas movies? Let me know in the comments, and check out the other posts from the linkup.
