2017 Reading Challenges: January Update
If you're anything like me, when you sign up for a reading challenge, you do so with the best of intentions, but you never know how you'll do on the follow-through.
I'm happy to report that my January went ... decently. I'm absolutely on track for the Mount TBR challenge, as my goal is to read 12 books I owned before the beginning of 2017, and I read one in January. You can see my review of Jenna Miscavige Hill's Beyond Belief here.
For the Read the Books You Buy challenge, I bought two books ... and read neither. I bought Passenger by Alexandra Bracken and The Captive Heart by Michelle Griep. I did spend most of January patting myself on the back for my restraint—only buying two books in a whole month is pretty impressive for me! However, in the first week of February, I've purchased three books ... so I'm gonna have to get reading if I want to get on top of this challenge.
I didn't read anything that would work for Modern Mrs Darcy's challenge, but, like I said in my intro post, I'm not really focusing on that challenge this year—I'll just see how the books I'm already reading fit in.
Are you doing any reading challenges this year? If so, how are they going?
