Review: "Grace Looks Amazing on You" by Amy Seiffert

Right now (and really always) we could use a little grace—grace for ourselves, grace for each other. And we could use a reminder of the ultimate Giver of grace. That's where the devotional Grace Looks Amazing on You comes in.

What if today is the perfect time to notice God’s grace in one another?

Women are so often weighed down by comparison, anxiety, and fear that the idea that grace could look amazing on them feels unbelievable. But all around us are flashes of grace, shining examples of God’s love.

Amy Seiffert says it’s the everyday moments that Jesus shines through: making time for a friend even when your to-do list is pages long; apologizing to your neighbor when you don’t want to admit you are wrong; opening the Bible when your soul feels hollow and empty.

Making the choice to accept God’s limitless love no matter what and reflecting it back to the world around you—friend, that’s when His grace looks amazing on you.

A perfect gift to affirm and encourage any woman, Grace Looks Amazing on You is a timeless Christian message packed with personal story and reflection, Scripture, and deep biblical truth. This 100-day devotional will help you change your perspective so you can confidently radiate the grace of Christ.

We tend to throw around the word "grace" a lot, and I often don't take time to really think about the meaning. But the definition of grace that I learned clear back in my Awana days has stuck with me: "undeserved, unearned favor and kindness." When I actually think about what that means, it blows me away.

In the new devotional Grace Looks Amazing on You, author Amy Seiffert reflects on God's grace to us and challenges us to reflect that grace to others. The book contains 100 short devotionals (that really reminded me [in a good way] of Our Daily Bread), and each devotional ends with a "grace reflection" that consists of a prayer or a challenge or questions to consider. The pages are thick enough that you could write your own responses under the grace reflections if desired. (I'm totally a "write in my devotionals and date it" kind of person, so that's what I'm doing.)

This is a beautiful book (it's even prettier in person) that would make a great gift for any woman. 4 stars.
