Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Summer TBR

Happy Tuesday! It is Tuesday, right? Time is so weird right now. I can't believe that it's already the middle of June, yet pre-Covid feels like years ago. So, so strange. I actually read a really interesting article about it the other day. Anyway ... to the list! This week's topic is Summer TBR, and, while I could take the easy way and pick ten books I've gotten to review (and will, therefore, certainly read), I'm picking other books that I'd like to read (and will, therefore, read approximately one). Let's go!

By the Book by Amanda Sellet

This is kind of a cheat, as it's my current read ... but this guarantees I'll actually get one book on this list read! I'm not sure how I first heard about By the Book, but I'm glad I did, as it's adorable!

Hadley Beckett's Next Dish by Bethany Turner

I've been wanting to read this one since it released ... I just have to squeeze it in between review books!

The Warrior Maiden by Melanie Dickerson

For this month of the Modern Mrs. Darcy Reading Challenge, my sisters and I decided to tackle one of the three books we'll be reading by the same author. I picked Melanie Dickerson, so this book is up!

Secrets by Jacqueline Wilson

I don't have any nieces or nephews, but my cousin lives just a few blocks from me, and her three daughters (ages 8, 10, and 11) are basically like nieces. I've shared several of my books with them (like The Warrior Maiden), and now they're sharing books with me! The 10-year-old recently brought me a stack of her favorite books, and Secrets is the one she said I should read first.

Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli

I want to watch Stargirl on Disney+ ... but first I want to read the book!

The Killing Tide by Dani Pettrey

Somehow, I've gotten behind on my Dani Pettrey reading! The second book in her Coastal Guardians series releases at the end of the month, and I still need to read book one!

The Solid Grounds Coffee Company by Carla Laureano

I've read the first two books in the series, and now I need Ana's story!

Born of Persuasion by Jessica Dotta

I recently got this entire series in paperback ... so I think it's time to start reading!

Glass Slippers, Ever After, and Me by Julie Wright

I recently read Wright's Lies, Love, and Breakfast at Tiffany's in less than a day, which left me eager to read her other novels. And this one is available through my library!

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses by Jenny Hale

No, it's not Christmas, but it's almost Christmas in July! The Hallmark movie based on this novel will most certainly air repeatedly during the Hallmark event, and my goal is to read the book before it does.

What books are on your Summer TBR?

    1. I haven't read anything by Wilson yet, but she's one of my cousin's favorite writers, so I'm sure I'll have a bunch to read!
