Happy June! This post is a few days late because I was actually with Val (and without my laptop) at the end of the month. She and her husband moved to Florida last fall, and our parents and I flew down to visit last week. It was rainy, humid, and wonderful.

What's Val Reading? (March 2018)

Can you believe it's already the end of March? And that I'm actually posting Val's monthly recap in the month it covers? (It's only happening because I'm up late listening to the Cubs-Marlins game, and we're in the 16th inning. I do not understand why there are no ties in baseball. I say go to 12 and then call it. But MLB isn't exactly knocking down my door, asking my opinion!)

Happy February! How is it that we're already through January? I'm not complaining, though ... the closer we get to spring, the better!

As we head into Val's reads, I want to share something she recently told me: she has a hard time giving less than 3 stars to any book. So, I'm just guessing here, but I'd say that her 3 stars would be equivalent to my 2 or 2-1/2 stars. So when she gives a book 3 stars, she's probably not recommending it. Just FYI 😉.

What's Val Reading? (September 2017)

You may not know this, but I'm not the only avid reader in my family. In fact, I think everyone in my immediate family (parents, siblings) loves to read, though two of us read much more than the rest. My sister Val reads nearly as much as I do, but we rarely read the same books. Since our reading tastes are so different, we thought it would be fun for Val to do a monthly wrap-up of her reads here on Christian Chick's Thoughts. So here's Val, and from here on out I'll try to be more timely in posting her monthly recap!
