You know how they say not to judge a book by its cover? Well, I do. All the time. And I would never normally pick up a book with a cover that looks like this—it doesn't exactly scream "clean and wholesome," does it? But ... it is. I "met" Judy Corry through her YA romance a few months ago, and I knew that she only writes clean romance, so I decided to give this one a chance despite the cover.
His best friend’s sister was off limits. But some rules are meant to be broken.
Billionaire Drew Burrows had high hopes of finding love as the bachelor on a reality TV show. Instead, he’s sent home with a "girlfriend" he doesn't really like. When his best friend’s little sister is hired by the show, he realizes his girlfriend doesn't stand a chance because his feelings for Kate didn’t disappear when she became someone else’s wife.
Kate Dawson has two goals: get her screenplays on the big screen and keep her divorce a secret. So when her new boss insists that she push Drew towards an engagement, she promises to do her best. But she soon discovers that working closely with Drew brings back powerful memories of a fateful night seven years ago that started with a stolen kiss and ended in heartbreak.
With the world watching and the paparazzi around every corner, Drew and Kate must decide whether to follow the rules or allow their hearts to finally have their way.
This book is so charming and fun! When I read the description, I worried about the aspect of Drew falling for Kate while believing she's married, but he found out about Kate's divorce very early on in the book, so it wasn't an issue.
The book begins right after Drew has filmed a season of the
Bachelor-esque show
Finding Your Soulmate. He declined to propose to his final choice, so production is pressuring him to propose on the live reunion show. Kate is hired to be his new handler, and she's supposed to help convince him to propose to the woman he chose ... which is difficult, considering she's been in love with Drew since she was a teenager.
Drew and Kate have great chemistry, and this book is just so much fun to read! It also feels pretty true to the
Bachelor world. Really, my only complaint is that it felt just a tad long and slow in the middle. But overall, it was such fun! If you're a fan of clean reads and/or
The Bachelor, you'll definitely want to give this one a chance.

Judy Corry has been addicted to love stories for as long as she can remember. She reads and writes YA & Clean Contemporary Romance because she can't get enough of the feeling of falling in love. She graduated from Southern Utah University in an area that has nothing to do with writing. Some of her favorite things are chick flicks, singing, and playing the piano. She believes in swoon-worthy kisses and happily ever afters.
Judy met her soul mate while in high school and married him a few years later. She and her husband are raising four beautiful and crazy children in Southern Utah.
