"If I'm Found" by Terri Blackstock

The sequel to Terri Blackstock's (INSPY Award-winning) If I Run is just as compelling as its predecessor—it's a thrill-ride from start to finish!

Casey Cox is still on the run, fleeing prosecution for a murder she didn’t commit. Dylan Roberts—her most relentless pursuer—is still on her trail, but his secret emails insist that he knows the truth and wants to help her. He’s let her escape before when he had her in his grasp, but trust doesn’t come easily.

As Casey works to collect evidence about the real murderers, she stumbles on another unbearable injustice: an abused child and a suicidal man who’s also been falsely accused. Casey risks her own safety to right this wrong and protect the little girl from her tormenters. But doing so is risky and just may result in her capture—and if she’s captured, she has no doubt she’ll be murdered before she ever steps foot in a jail.

In this riveting sequel to the USA Today bestseller If I Run, evil lurks, drawing Casey out of the shadows . . . but there is light shining in the darkness. Is Dylan a provision from the God who loves her, or another heartache yet to happen?

Casey Cox is a fugitive, framed for the brutal murder of her friend Brent by the same corrupt cops who killed her father. If I'm Found picks up immediately following the events of If I Run, where Casey jeopardized her safety and risked capture in order to save someone else.

In If I'm Found, Casey once again can't help fighting injustice, even as the evil Detective Keegan gets closer to capturing her. Eventually, she must decide whether to trust Dylan, the man hired by Brent's parents to find her, as she tries to rescue an abused child, clear an accused man's name, and gather evidence against Keegan.

If I'm Found is a thrilling roller-coaster ride from beginning to end, yet Blackstock also clearly presents the gospel as Casey searches for truth. I appreciated that the faith thread was organically woven into the novel and made sense with the story—it didn't feel like it was shoehorned in, but it naturally flowed out of the events of the novel.

While I really enjoyed If I Run, I absolutely loved If I'm Found. I can't wait for If I Live, the series' conclusion, next year! 5 stars.

Note: This is a series that really must be read in order—I have a feeling you'll really struggle if you try to jump in with If I'm Found!
