Review: "Meet Me There" by Judy Corry

A couple months ago, I read Judy Corry's Don't Forget Me, a clean YA romance that I both enjoyed and was frustrated by. But I liked it enough to know that I wanted to read other books by Corry, so when I found Meet Me There available through the Kindle Owner's Lending Library, I snapped it up.

First Line Fridays: "Just Let Go"

Happy Friday! This has felt like a long week, and I'm so glad to see the weekend approaching, followed by a day off on Wednesday for Independence Day. I believe that's a schedule I could get used to: two days off, two days on, one day off, two days on, two days off 😊.

Review: "Just Let Go" by Courtney Walsh

I've heard about Courtney Walsh's novels for years now. Figured I'd enjoy them. But until yesterday, I'd never read one. And now I'm ready to go back and read all the others that I've been missing!

Review: "The Love Letter" by Rachel Hauck

There's just something special about a Rachel Hauck novel. If I had to pick one thing, I'd say it's the way she weaves the supernatural seamlessly into the story. It's never heavy handed, and it feels like it could really happen ... and who am I to say it couldn't? Read one of her books, and you'll see what I mean.

Review: "Unblemished" by Sara Ella

I've wanted to read Sara Ella's Unblemished ever since I first heard about it. I always had great intentions of reading it, but other novels took precedence ... even when I got book two, I still wasn't ready to give it a go.

Flash forward to last Saturday, when I received the third and final book from the Fiction Guild. Suddenly, it was time. I picked up the book Saturday evening, decided to skip the new Hallmark movie in favor of reading (this is practically unheard of for me 🤣), and finished the book Sunday night. I've had pressing review books to read this week, but I can't wait until I can continue Eliyana's story!

Top Ten Tuesday: Series I Might Finish

Today's TTT topic (over at That Artsy Reader Girl) is Series I’ve Given Up On/Don’t Plan to Finish. I'm tweaking that to be Series I Might Finish. I'm dividing my list into three sections: Series I'd Like to Finish ASAP, Series I Might Finish ... Someday, and Series I Still Need to Begin (and Finish). All of these are books I already own (or can easily access for free), so reading them would be easy if I decide I want to.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (6-25-18)

Happy Monday!!! It's been a while since I've participated, as my June has been consumed by vacation (to Florida—I talk briefly about it here, and I have loads of pics on Instagram), yearbook (FINALLY FINISHED!!!), and a sweet three days with college roomie Jennifer and her daughter. So I've been busy but not particularly productive when it comes to reading. I'm hoping to change that this week. We'll see!

First Line Fridays: "Enduring Love"

Happy Friday! I've been thinking about joining First Line Fridays for what feels like forever, and now I'm finally doing it! First Line Fridays is all about sharing the first line of a current read or a book you'd like to bring attention to.

Today, I'm spotlighting Toni Shiloh's Enduring Love, which is my current read.

Review: "Justice Betrayed" by Patricia Bradley

Over the past couple of years, I've become a big fan of Patricia Bradley's novels. They're mysteries with a touch of suspense, but they're never over the top or gruesome. And they're always, always entertaining.

Review: "This Freedom Journey" by Misty M. Beller

I read This Freedom Journey as part of the Timeless Love anthology. I reviewed the collection as a whole earlier this month, and I decided to review each novella separately upon its individual release ... When I went to Amazon to find out when This Freedom Journey releases, I saw that it's already out! So here you go, my first individual review of a novella in the Timeless Love collection.

Review: "First Impressions" by Debra White Smith

For as long as I've been familiar with Jane Austen, I've been a sucker for Austen adaptations. Movies, TV shows, web series, books ... I'm not picky! First Impressions was probably the first Austen adaptation I ever read, back when it first released in 2004. I actually read all of Debra White Smith's Jane Austen Series when the books originally came out, but I got rid of them a few years ago. I had such fond memories of First Impressions that when the repackaged version with this gorgeous new cover came up for review, I jumped at the chance to get it.

Book or Movie? "Runaway Romance"

It's been a while, but I'm back with another Book or Movie post ... and, for the first time since I started this project, it doesn't feature a Hallmark Channel Original!

It is still connected to Hallmark, though, if a bit tangentially. The book/movie is Runaway Romance. I reviewed the book last year, and the movie premiered on UP (a Hallmark-esque cable channel) in January ... and now it's available on Hallmark Movies Now, Hallmark's streaming service.

Review: "A Cowboy of Convenience" by Stacy Henrie

On Tour with Prism Book Tours

Though I've read and enjoyed a few Love Inspired titles, this line still has a bit of a stigma in my mind of being the "B team" of inspirational romance. I certainly wouldn't normally pick up a Love Inspired title unless it was written by an author I already know and love. So why did I choose to review A Cowboy of Convenience? It has to do with that final word in the title: "convenience." Marriage of convenience stories are my absolute favorite, forever and ever, amen. So how could I pass this one up?

Review: "Timeless Love: Romantic Stories that Span the Ages" Anthology

Sometimes you just need a good novella—a quick romantic read—you know? I heard about the Timeless Love anthology because Dawn Crandall, one of my favorite historical romance writers, has a story included. I could've just read and reviewed her entry, Enchanting Nicholette, but where's the fun in that?

What's Val Reading? (May 2018)

Happy June! This post is a few days late because I was actually with Val (and without my laptop) at the end of the month. She and her husband moved to Florida last fall, and our parents and I flew down to visit last week. It was rainy, humid, and wonderful.
