First Line Fridays: "A Sparkle of Silver"

It's finally Friday! I have a big work event tonight, so the weekend won't really start until about 9:30 p.m., but ... once I get home, I'll be able to turn on a Christmas movie! I just love Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas 😃. While some of the films are, yes, horribly cheesy, I still watch them all, and I always find a few that I love. I made a couple lists of favorites a few years ago (here and here), but I'm thinking it's time for an update.

That has nothing to do with what I'm reading, though! So back to the books ...

This week, I'm spotlighting Liz Johnson's A Sparkle of Silver. I absolutely loved her Prince Edward Island Dreams series, so I'm eager to read this new novel.

There were some things Millie Sullivan would rather forget.

This book is next up in my queue, and I can't wait to start it!

Check out the book on Amazon & Goodreads.
Read my reviews of Johnson's The Red Door Inn (4 stars), Where Two Hearts Meet (5 stars), and On Love's Gentle Shore (5 stars).

  1. I've read it and really enjoyed it!
This week on my blog I shared A Light on the Hill by Connilyn Cossette but I'm currently reading Tell Her No Lies by Kelly Irvin so I'll share the first line from the current chapter (8) that I'm on: "Upstanding citizens of the community did not lead double lives." It's not an easy book to put down! Hope you have a great weekend with plenty of quality reading time!

  2. Happy Friday! I’m sharing from A Season of Grace by Lauraine Snelling on my blog. Here’s the first line from a book I treated myself to this week, His Promise by Shelley Shepard Gray:

“It’s snowing again,” Grace King said to Snooze. “If it keeps up, we’re gonna have a white Christmas. Won’t that be something?”

    Have a great weekend!
