I have loved all of Carolyn Miller's books, but I've been especially excited for her new Regency Wallflowers series, which focuses on older women. If the first book, Dusk's Darkest Shores, is any indication, this series will be wonderful!

It's hard to believe I read my first Carolyn Miller novel only two years ago—she's so quickly become a go-to for regency fiction that it feels like I've been reading her forever! A Hero for Miss Hatherleigh is the first book in her third series, which connects to her others.

Review: "The Making of Mrs. Hale" by Carolyn Miller

When I started reading Christian fiction in the mid-1990's, many of the novels were very preachy ... to the point where full sermons and/or long passages of scripture were included. Often, these sections did nothing except pull me out of the story and cause me to skip ahead.

In recent years, the trend has been to go light on the spiritual content, and I greatly appreciate authors who can include a thoughtful faith thread without coming across as preachy.

The Making of Mrs. Hale is a blend of the two: this is clearly a Christian novel, and one conversation features paragraphs taken straight from Romans, but, somehow, it doesn't come across as preachy, and I didn't feel like skipping any of it!

Whenever I hear that Carolyn Miller has a new book releasing, I add it to my TBR. She has swiftly become one of my favorite writers of regency romance!

"Winning Miss Winthrop" by Carolyn Miller

I don't know if Carolyn Miller is becoming a better writer or if I'm just becoming more appreciative of her writing style. (I suspect it's a mix of the two.) Whatever is happening, though, I find that I love each of Miller's novels more than the last, and Winning Miss Winthrop, the first in her new "A Promise of Hope" series, is one of the best books I've read so far this year!

"The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey" by Carolyn Miller

Carolyn Miller is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers of regency romance. Her Legacy of Grace series has been a treat to read from start to finish, and I think this final installment, The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey, is the best yet!

"The Captivating Lady Charlotte" by Carolyn Miller

Earlier this year, I read Carolyn Miller's The Elusive Miss Ellison. In the novel, readers met Lavinia Ellison's cousin Charlotte, a young woman about to make her debut into society. Charlotte intrigued me, so of course I wanted to read The Captivating Lady Charlotte (which happens to have quite the captivating cover, I must say!).

"The Elusive Miss Ellison" by Carolyn Miller

When I first heard of The Elusive Miss Ellison, it was being promoted for fans of Georgette Heyer, Lori Wick, and Julie Klassen. While I had to look up Heyer, Wick was my favorite inspirational romance author for many years, and Klassen is currently one of my favorite writers.

That was enough to get me to check out the book.
