It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (9-3-18)

Happy Monday! And, for those of you in the United States, Happy Labor Day! Labor Day has always been one of my favorite holidays, not for the meaning behind it (I'll be honest: I don't know the history behind Labor Day) but for the day off it represents. When I was younger, my family always went camping with a couple other families over Labor Day Weekend, and it was such fun! Now, I just love that it's an extra day off after the first few weeks of school 😊.

I don't have any grand plans today, and I'm just fine with that! My mom and I finished painting her kitchen cabinets (finally!) yesterday afternoon, so my day is now wide open ... I think I'll do some reading, and maybe I'll dig out my fall decorations, even though it doesn't feel anything like fall yet 😉.

What I read last week:

A Worthy Rebel by Jody Hedlund. I absolutely loved this final installment in Hedlund's "An Uncertain Choice" series! (5 stars)

The Christmas Heirloom: Four Holiday Novellas of Love through the Generations by Karen Witemeyer, Kristi Ann Hunter, Sarah Loudin Thomas, and Becky Wade. Maybe early September is a bit too soon for Christmas stories, but whenever I'm presented with a new Becky Wade story, any time is a good time! This is an exceptionally good collection—I gave each novella 4 stars or higher. (4-1/2 stars, review to come)

What I'm reading now:

A Daring Venture by Elizabeth Camden. I'm hoping to finish this one up today! It's been my lunch break read, but I can only get so many pages read in 30 minute increments!

What I'll read next:

Hidden Among the Stars by Melanie Dobson. It really is time to read this one now, as my review is due at the end of the week!

If you're in the States, how are you celebrating Labor Day? And what are you reading? Let me know, and then go check out the linkup to see what others are reading.
