Review: "To Tame a Cowboy" by Jody Hedlund

Do you have genres you never read, except when an author you love writes in that genre? That's me with western fiction/cowboy romances. It's one of those genres that I'm never drawn to, even though I live in the "Wild West." But when Jody Hedlund releases another cowboy romance, I am all in

Review: "Coloring God's Love for Me" by Janae Dueck

When I was a kid, my church always participated in The 50 Day Adventure, which had special workbooks for each age group. As I've looked through Coloring God's Love for Me, I've been transported back to those days!

Review: "Bloomsbury Girls" by Natalie Jenner

I remember all of the hype surrounding The Jane Austen Society, and I truly intended to read it but never did. But now that I've read Natalie Jenner's next novel, Bloomsbury Girls, I think I'm going to need to remedy that!

Review: "Turn to Me" by Becky Wade

Every spring since 2012, I have eagerly anticipated the arrival of the newest Becky Wade novel in my mailbox. This year, that novel is True to You, the final book in the Misty River series.

Review: "The Master Craftsman" by Kelli Stuart

Man, does Kelli Stuart write a good novel! I loved both Like a River from Its Course and A Silver Willow by the Shore, so when I heard she had a new novel coming out, it made its way to the top of my TBR. What I didn't anticipate, though, was just how much fun I would have reading this book!

Review: "Finding Love in Big Sky, Montana" by Angela Ruth Strong

Nothing makes me want to read a book more than hearing it has been or will be made into a movie! Finding Love in Big Sky has already been filmed, and I'm eagerly awaiting news of when and where to watch it. In the meantime, I thought I should read the book.

Review: "The Murder of Mr. Wickham" by Claudia Gray

I love all things Jane Austen, and I am by no means a purist - I will consume anything and everything that could be considered Austen-adjacent. So when I first heard about The Murder of Mr. Wickham, I didn't hesitate to sign up for the blog tour ... without even reading the synopsis first! That turned out to be a fine decision, as this book is simply delightful!

Review: "The Mad Girls of New York" by Maya Rodale

Do you remember learning about Nellie Bly in school? I do - very vaguely. (Let's be real ... high school was a long time ago!) While she struck me as incredibly brave, I don't know if I would've picked up a book about her ... except that this cover called out to me! I'm glad it did, because the story inside is great.

Review: "The Element of Love" by Mary Connealy

Another lifetime ago, I really enjoyed reading Mary Connealy novels. (Seriously, according to this blog, it's been eight years since I've read one of her books.) When The Element of Love came up as a featured book for Bethany House bloggers, I decided it was time to read another Connealy book.

Audiobook Review: "Her Country Gentleman" by Sian Ann Bessey, Sarah M. Eden, & Rebecca Connolly

I've recently come to dearly love Regency romances ... but what of romances set in the Georgian Era? I'll admit I didn't even know if it came before or after Regency (turns out the Regency period comes at the end of the Georgian Era). Her Country Gentleman is a novella collection set during the era.

What I'm Reading: January - April Mini Reviews

Hello, friends! I'm on vacation this week, so I'm finally catching up on some things I've neglected recently, like posting reviews! I have actually read more books than I've reviewed on the blog; I've just gotten really lazy about posting! Then I end up getting frustrated with myself when I want to remember what I thought of a book and can't find anything I've written ... so I'm trying to fix that now!

Review: "Until Leaves Fall in Paris" by Sarah Sundin

Every year, I eagerly anticipate Sarah Sundin's new release, and, so far, I've always been completely charmed by the book when I read it. This year was no different!

Anticipated March Releases

Yes, I realize I'm soooo late on this, as March is nearly over! Somehow, the beginning of March just slipped on by. But I still want to tell you about these books, even though some have already been released😉

As always, I can't vouch for the "spice" level - you can assume that anything put out by a Christian publisher will be low on the spice meter, but beyond that, you may want to do more research. If/when I get around to reading and reviewing these, I'll let you know of any potential content issues.

I normally post these in order of release, but I'm putting my most anticipated release of March first. I Cannot Wait To Get My Hands On This Book.

Review: "In Search of a Prince" by Toni Shiloh

Do you like royal romances? They're not my favorite, usually (with some notable exceptions, of course). What I am a big fan of is Toni Shiloh's writing, so of course I had to give this book a shot, and I'm so glad I did!

Review: "Sunrise" by Susan May Warren

Susan May Warren is one of my must-read authors; if she writes it, I'll read it! So I was very eager to get my hands on the first book in her new Sky King Ranch series, Sunrise.

Review: "Never Leave Me" by Jody Hedlund

Last summer, I read the first book in Jody Hedlund's Waters of Time series and loved it, so there was no hesitation on my part when I heard there would be a book two. Now I'm hoping for a book three!

Let's Fall in Love: Anticipated February Releases

It's the month of LOVE! Yes, I'm single, but I've always loved Valentine's Day. I never need an excuse to read a romance novel, but for those of you who do ... February is the perfect time!

Here are some February romance releases that I'm excited about. I haven't read any of these books yet, so I can't speak to the "spice" level ... so be sure to do your own do diligence before reading! I do plan to read several this month, and I'll be sure to let you know my thoughts after I've read them.

Review: "An Unlikely Duchess" by Jessica Nelson

One of the reasons I love regency romance so much is that practically every other one includes a marriage of convenience, which is by far my favorite romance trope! So when I heard about Jessica Nelson's An Unlikely Duchess, I knew this book would be right up my alley.

Review: "The Siren of Sussex" by Mimi Matthews

I swear, Mimi Matthews can do no wrong! I've enjoyed every single one of her books that I've read, and The Siren of Sussex is no exception. This is a Victorian romance that both brings the romance (oh, my, does it bring the romance) and makes me more interested in learning about the time period.
